Three steps, then your books keep themselves
No spreadsheets and no bookkeeping words. If you can take a photo, you can use PocketBench.
Upload your pay statement
Add your carrier's settlement PDF or a photo of it. PocketBench pulls out every load, deduction, holdback and advance, and checks the lines add up to your net pay.
Snap your receipts
Fuel, repairs, tires, meals, permits. PocketBench reads the total, the GST/HST and where you bought it, and files it under the right expense.
Tax time is ready
Your GST/HST, IFTA worksheet and income summary are worked out as you go. Share them with your accountant, or keep them for yourself.

Know exactly what you were paid, and why
Settlement statements are hard to read. PocketBench turns yours into a clear list of loads and deductions.
- US and Canadian dollar loads, with the exchange rate
- Holdbacks and advances tracked until they come back
- Fuel-card discounts shown as money saved

IFTA miles without the logbook math
Enter where each trip went. PocketBench works out the miles in every state and province and adds the fuel you bought there, for a quarterly worksheet you can file from.

See what you owe before the CRA does
GST/HST collected on your pay, credits from your receipts, and what to set aside, every quarter. At year end, an income summary laid out like the T2125 business statement.
PocketBench is a record-keeping tool, not tax advice. Check your returns with a qualified accountant.
See where every dollar goes
PocketBench turns your statements and receipts into simple charts, so you know what you keep, what your fuel card saves and how your truck is burning fuel.
Every revenue dollar
Fuel, payments and repairs vs what you take home
Fuel card savings
Pump price vs what you actually paid
That's about $488 a year back in your pocket.
Fuel mileage by quarter

Best quarter: Q3 at 6.9 mpg. Get a heads-up when mileage drops.
Sample numbers. Your charts use your own statements and receipts.
Everything an owner-operator keeps track of
Built around how trucking money actually moves.
Built by a trucker who was tired of a shoebox of fuel receipts, settlement statements that were hard to read, and a big accountant bill every April.
PocketBench is made by an owner-operator in London, Ontario. It's built around real carrier statements and real receipts from the road.

Questions drivers ask
Do I still need an accountant?
PocketBench keeps your records organised and works out the numbers, but it doesn't file returns or give tax advice. Many drivers use it to hand their accountant clean books, which usually means less time and a smaller bill.
Which pay statements does it read?
PocketBench reads carrier settlement statements as PDFs or photos. If a line doesn't come through, you can fix it in the app, and we keep adding layouts. Send yours to support@pocketbench.net if it doesn't read well.
Does it work for company drivers?
Yes. Company drivers can track meals, travel days and work expenses for their own tax return. Owner-operators get the full set: income, GST/HST, IFTA and truck payments.
Is my information private?
Your books are stored in Canada and only you can see them. An accountant sees them only if you sign consent, only for the tax years you pick, and every time they look it's logged. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. Read the privacy policy.
What about US loads and fuel bought in the States?
PocketBench handles US and Canadian dollars on the same statement, and IFTA counts miles and fuel by state and province.
How much does it cost?
$2.99 a month, or $29 a year, plus GST/HST. Same price for company drivers and owner-operators, with every feature included. Accountants use PocketBench at no cost.
When does billing start?
Paid plans start when PocketBench launches on Google Play and the App Store. We'll email you before then. Everyone who signs up before launch gets 3 months included, then keeps the $2.99 price for as long as they stay subscribed. Nothing is ever charged without you choosing a plan.
What if I stop paying?
Your account turns read-only. You can still see and download everything you entered, and nothing is deleted unless you delete your account.
